Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 9 vs MacBook Air M3: a close fight

m3 design

All of this seems to suggest that OLED is really too far away from the MacBook to make an appearance as early as the end of this year. An OLED MacBook certainly seems like a clear path Apple will choose for the future, and the MacBook Pro is the obvious choice for the first recipient of such an upgrade. However, Apple’s existing mini-LED lineup already offers some of the best displays of any notebook out there.

The next ‌Mac Pro‌ will have a chip that's in the M4 family, as Apple is working to update its entire Mac lineup to the M4 series across 2024 and 2025. Apple last updated the Mac Pro in June 2023, adding an M2 Ultra chip and officially completing the transition away from Intel chips. The ‌Mac Pro‌ uses the same ‌M2‌ Ultra chip that's in the Mac Studio, leading to criticism about its lack of power.

The base MacBook Air M3 costs $1,299 with an M3 8/10 chipset, 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and a 13.6-inch IPS display. With 16GB, which would make it comparable to the Yoga’s base model, the MacBook Air M3 is $1,499, or about $170 more. The MacBook can also be configured with 24GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD for $2,299. Apple solidified its MacBook Pro design with the 2021 version of its MacBook Pro. While Apple often releases new MacBook Pro models every year, the broader design language tends to last for five or even six years at a time.

Founded in 1996, M3 Design is a product development and innovation firm located in the Austin, TX area specializing in design, engineering, strategy and brand. M3 is a team of world-class designers and engineers who work together to create products that inspire the future for healthcare, lifestyle and workplace brands. M3 takes pride in challenging convention to help their clients maximize business opportunity by creating exceptional products and experiences. Gray is M3 Design’s CTO and fountain of useful advice and knowledge of EVERYTHING from engineering, technology trends and forecasting, business strategy, and all aspects of product development. Gray believes in being open minded when it comes to innovative solutions to problems, and tackling R&D and product development efforts in a way that can successfully feed into an overarching business objective. Gray has had a leadership role at M3 Design for over a decade, and has been the point person for some of M3’s largest accounts such as Emerson.

Before joining M3, Michele had a variety of financial experience in everything from public accounting to healthcare to non-profit industries. After starting her own accounting business, Michele grew a passion for accounting and financial reporting for small businesses, which ultimately led her to her role at M3. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin. In his spare time, he enjoys tinkering on old BMWs, hiking, cycling, swimming, and spending time with his family. Kevin spent most of his 20s playing the guitar in a punk rock band and touring around the US and Europe, so everyone at M3 just has to accept that they will never be as cool as him. The Yoga 9i Gen 9 is an excellent example of the modern 360-degree convertible 2-in-1.

M3 has been a vital partner in the development rackmount hardware design, their attention to detail, design concepts, and thermal solutions have been paramount to our success. The ‌Mac Pro‌ is expected to be the last of Apple's Macs to get the M4 chip, and rumors suggest that it will come out in late 2025. The ‌Mac Pro‌ saw a major design update in 2019, with Apple doing away with the cylindrical "trash can" look in favor of a more reserved aluminum computer tower. There were no design changes to the 2022 model when it was refreshed, and so far we've heard nothing about design changes to the upcoming M4 variant. The ‌Mac Pro‌ could support up to 500GB Unified Memory, way up from the current 192GB maximum.

Apple has continued to add CPU and GPU cores to each passing M-series chip, so it seems likely that M4 will continue this trend. Are you simply stuck on a highly constrained technical problem, and you don’t have the knowhow or bandwidth to solve it? With vibrant entertainment and culture, inspiring cuisine and stunning outdoor settings, Austin lets you create a soundtrack all your own. We have a unique culture where we work side-by-side with one another and collaborate with our clients from start to finish. We do this with integrity, authenticity, determination, and fun - to deliver high-quality work.

Metric House Plans

The world’s leading companies trust us to solve their toughest product development and customer experience challenges. You believe that product development means more than just making a single thing — it means consistency across experiences, environments, and systems. You're considering a flashy new MacBook Air -- perhaps one of the new M3 models or even the cheaper M2 configurations. I'm not going to sit here and pretend like that isn't a wise option to consider for your next laptop. These are excellent laptops, and that M2 model in particular is a solid value at a starting price of $999. If you’re looking for a 14-inch convertible 2-in-1, the Yoga 9i Gen 9 should be on your short list.

Apple has several tiers of performance, as well as various sizes, which can further complicate the matter. The MacBook Air M3 is therefore the more expensive laptop unless you choose its base model. However, 8GB of RAM isn’t the best performance choice for laptops, except for those with the very simplest workflows.

Whether you’re watching a movie or playing one of the best Mac games, it’s much better to enjoy it on a spacious TV than on a constrained MacBook display. However, the MacBook Air M3’s thinness and battery life are still unbeatable, and in this type of device, those are both paramount aspects. That makes it the better overall laptop in this class, even if the Yoga 9i Gen 9 puts up a spectacular fight. However, when it comes to battery life, the MacBook Air’s M3 chipset is far more efficient. Even though it has a much smaller battery at 52.6 watt-hours versus 75 watt-hours, the MacBook lasts 19.5 hours when web browsing versus the Yoga 9i Gen 9’s roughly six hours.

We understand that our clients have one shot to see a product on the production line, in the hands of surgeons or keeps customers coming back, we’re here to help realize that goal. Kevin is a great team player, with a wealth of hands-on experience in product design, system integration, electro-mechanical systems, machine design, and more. He believes that creativity is the most underrated skill in an engineer’s toolbox, yet the most difficult to harness and cultivate. He is always looking for ways to expand his own creative thinking and that of his team. The M3 team’s ability to collaborate closely with our team to understand our product goals and iterate multiple design options on a rapid timeline and tight budget was very impressive. Their creativity, attention to detail, and unconventional thinking yielded a Next-Gen product design that we are very proud of.

Gurman says those are due “between the end of 2024 and early 2025.” This doesn’t preclude all three being released at the same time, which seems more likely as that’s the format Apple chose in 2023. Apple could take yearly upgrades to its natural conclusion and announce these at the end of October. November is also a likely shout, with Apple having announced Macs at events or otherwise in both months previously. Gray is a frequent contributor to the M3 Design’s blog, as well as publications such as MD&DI and has spoken at such events as South by Southwest and the Central Texas Digital Convergence Initiative. Gray holds a BSEE from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and an MBA from the University of Houston.

It’s also likely that Apple will continue to offer broadly the same model lineup as the M3 range, having so recently settled on a new configuration of three chips, and two sizes. Diners can also opt for a $17 three-piece with $2 green garlic ranch option. An almond panna cotta with peach and ginger is the only dessert pick and costs $8. The residency will run from July 19 to September 17 at 1644 Sawtelle Boulevard, Wednesday to Sunday from 12 p.m.

Pecking House is Open (but That’s Not the End of the Story)

New York City’s ultra-popular chile fried chicken spot Pecking House, which once had a 10,000-person wait list, is coming to Sawtelle Japantown, opening for a summer residency at a space called Tuk Tuk x Turntable. Pecking House, the fried chicken pop-up that once had a waitlist just shy of 10,000 people, opens its permanent home at 244 Flatbush Avenue, on the corner of Saint Marks Avenue, on September 9. The Park Slope restaurant is the first from Eric Huang, a Taiwanese American chef who cut his teeth at Eleven Madison Park before launching the business out of his family’s restaurant in Fresh Meadows during the pandemic. “Kind of like the Bear,” he says, nodding to the hit Hulu television show with an uncanny resemblance to his own life. He’s been running the pop-up with Maya Ferrante, a former chef at the Michelin-starred Gramercy Tavern, where the pair met in 2015, and one of Pecking House’s earliest customers. Within ten weeks of operation, Pecking House had amassed a waitlist of 9,000.

Order at the cashier, grab a (backless) bar stool and wait for a server to bring out Huang and Ferrante’s “naked” fried chicken, dusted with salt, five spice, and vinegar powder. Sounds good in theory, but the execution wasn’t there recently. The salted egg yolk chicken was better, where the ultra-rich and grainy condiment, sporting just a touch of sulfurous musk, enrobes a supremely juicy bird. This story has everything, starting with Chef Eric Huang, who came to cooking as the scion of a New York-based, Taiwanese-American restaurant family.

Shirley Brasserie mostly retains the same interior as the Barish and serves a farm-to-table, California-inspired menu. The Barish opened in October 2020, just a few months after Silverton and her partner Michael Krikorian wrote a controversial op-ed for the LA Times about the George Floyd protests. The chicken sandwich is finished with a cabbage slaw, which gets charred on a grill, then marinated in Worcestershire sauce, fish sauce, and Tabasco.

I’d never had a Tsingtao at home but have rarely eaten in a Chinese restaurant without ordering one, if not two, especially to pair with anything spicy, its sweet, yeasty, almost creamy roundness cutting obligingly through heat. The pair is both grateful for those previous opportunities and for this new chance for Pecking House to be its own thing. The all-new and latest interpretation of Pecking House will open in the coming weeks on Flatbush Avenue at St. Marks where Park Slope and Prospect Heights meet. In addition to the fried fowl that made it famous, the counter service restaurant will expand its menu and include beer, wine (in cans or disposable cups) and possibly batched cocktails in the near future. And here Huang and Ferrante have the opportunity to create the destination they haven’t yet quite had. I was cooking this three piece-three side thing forever, and then I actually sat down and ate one around six months after we started.

The resulting chicken’s thick crust was brick-red with spice, crisp, yet, inside, its flesh was juicy. Huang set up shop—that is, he named the enterprise Pecking House and announced that he was operational to his followers on Instagram. Chef Eric Huang’s Pecking House went from a pandemic pop-up to one of New York’s premiere destinations for fried chicken. By blending flavors from his Taiwanese upbringing with American southern traditions, he and his team serve some of the city’s most sought-after dishes. Large estates in places like Aspen or Los Angeles often acquire names over time. Choosing the right name for a super-prime property can lend it an air of prestige, Arana said.

The glazed chicken is set on a brioche bun along with the pineapple jam and cabbage. As New York extends its golden age of fried chicken with estimable Thai, South Asian, Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Puerto Rican entrants, Pecking’s Chinese American birds easily rank among the city’s finest. The very first item on the Pecking House website’s FAQ addresses how spicy the fried chicken is. It’s a fair question, as the bird’s color and cragginess give it the look of something geologic, like cooling magma. “We would describe it as medium spicy despite its intense appearance,” reads the wholly incorrect statement on the website.

You don’t go here for a birthday dinner; you go here for a 25-minute meal before you celebrate somewhere else. Pecking House is a practical, no reservations, pay-first-eat-later neighborhood restaurant where a full dinner — two pieces of chicken, a side, and a beer — runs $34 after tax and tip. At the month-old shop, which Huang runs with fellow Gramercy Tavern vet Maya Ferrante, folks can simply drop by and not have to wait long for food. The team has also expanded the lean pop-up menu with oyster mushroom po’boys (crispy and neutral) and vegan mapo tofu sandwiches (packed with stretchy, spiced yuba), and a pineapple slicked chicken sandwich (skip it).

Eric is now a fried chicken dealer, doing what he loves most, and serving it on paper plates. It’s going to be counter-service with takeout and delivery, but I don’t see this ever becoming a Chipotle or a Shake Shack. The space is a bit more polished and the food has a ton of thought and training behind it, even if it doesn’t look that way. For now, however, in this inflationary era, there’s something quite nice about two ex-fine-dining chefs keeping one of the city’s top fried chickens at $18 before tax and tip. You know where this is going; I’m rating Pecking’s chile and salted egg chickens a BUY.

Over the past decade, he has been cooking in the kitchens of many New York Michelin-starred institutions such as Cafe Boulud, Gramercy Tavern and most recently as a sous chef at Eleven Madison Park. One of New York’s best fried chicken restaurants is serving its famous chili fried chicken along Sawtelle for a limited time only. Huang spent time in the kitchens of Café Boulud and Gramercy Tavern before earning the title of sous-chef at Eleven Madison Park; last year, he left, with plans to open a Michelin-star-worthy restaurant of his own. In the early months of the pandemic, he helped his mother, who owns a restaurant on Long Island, as she adapted her business.

“Particularly in suburban settings, simply to have warranted a name is suggesting that it has perhaps a degree of standing that can in some circumstances add to its perception of desirability,” he said. The right house name may make a property more appealing to prospective buyers and even boost its market value, according to experts, which makes choosing the perfect moniker a bit of an art. Underdogs, the former home of Ozzy’s Apizza, has closed, which means the New Haven-inspired pizza pop-up has to find some new digs. Thankfully, owner Chris Wallace has already announced a new residency for Ozzy’s at Glenarden Club beginning July 26, serving Wednesday to Sunday from 5 p.m.

He’s noisily dissecting a whole chicken into nine parts in the background of our call. A few minutes later, he’s interrupted by one that starts to sizzle in the fryer. National poultry prices have shot up over 17 percent since this time last year (egg prices are up 30 percent), a fact that partly explains why chicken, once a frugal option, now runs $40 plus at full-service restaurants. The cost will surely go up here too at some point, which is not necessarily a bad thing since excellent crispy birds have long occupied a lower pricing tier than even mediocre roast counterparts. Pecking House is the opposite of a vibe-y 2022 restaurant, a place where people drink Long Island Ice teas priced like porterhouses and take selfies in bathrooms equipped with fog machines. The lighting here is as sexy as in a Metro-North rail car.

The aim for the space outside of the kitchen is fun, inviting, casual and picnic-like with room for about 45; an easy, fixed pop-in spot after all the time they spent doing pop-ups. And, although this is intentionally on the opposite end of the spectrum of Huang’s fine-dining background, sparkling water on tap, a favorite for the chef, is one somewhat fancy touch. And Huang says that he would love to collaborate with and host other hospitality pros, as he was hosted previously.

Headlines flew about the then takeout and delivery-only spot’s weeks-long waitlist. Now, Huang and his business partner Maya Ferrante are poised to open Pecking House’s first permanent location this month. And it all took somewhere between overnight and a lifetime to execute. It has been his lifelong dream to create a restaurant that challenges preconceived Western notions about Chinese cuisine and embarked on this journey in the Spring of 2020. With his family’s restaurant, Peking House, shuttered due to the pandemic, he stepped in and started frying chicken and delivering it to New Yorkers trapped in their apartments, thus Pecking House was born. Pecking House became one of the pandemic’s most popular pop-ups with a waitlist of over 10,000 people.

We use three-and-a-half pound chickens from Bell & Evans Farm in Pennsylvania, which are given ample indoor and outdoor space to roam, and fed a diet without antibiotics or GMOs. The Barish, the quieter steakhouse opening from Nancy Silverton tucked inside the Hollywood Roosevelt hotel, has closed without as much as a whisper. Click on the restaurant’s website to see that a restaurant called Shirley Brasserie has already taken its place.

For homeowners in Britain who wish to add or change the name of a property, the process is simple. The owner of a property that already has a name, rather than a number, can officially  change it by contacting the local council to request permission. If the new house name is deemed suitable and doesn’t duplicate an existing local name, the owner can pay a small fee to alter it, after which the change will be formally registered by Royal Mail. The owner of a house with a number cannot change or remove the number from the address, but can follow the same procedure to formally add a name to the property. Properties named The Manor House were found to command the highest price tag in England and Wales in a recent study by the property firm into premiums paid for particular house names, with an average sale price £1.42 million. Properties called The Manor or Manor House, by contrast, sold for an average of £967,117.

Each bite starts with a crunch, then quickly yields to a level of juiciness that makes you wonder if Pecking was trying to mimic a Shanghainese soup dumpling. Sugar balances out the heat at first, until the seasonings build, making your lips tingle and stomach glow for a solid half hour. Think of the spice as an edible hand warmer for your insides. And for those who do takeout, note that the crunch factor is no less powerful three full hours after ordering, as long as you have a toaster oven nearby.

I’ve only been living here for about two years, but this corner felt great. We’re right on the Flatbush artery next to Barclays Center. To call Pecking House’s chicken mid-level spicy is like calling Blair Witch a medium scary movie or a blue dart frog a halfway poisonous amphibian. Here, in a roomy Park Slope space, chef Eric Huang camouflages his birds in a shiny sauce laced with sugar, Sichuan peppercorns, monosodium glutamate, and Tianjin chiles — a North Asian nightshade that looks like a cartoon firecracker.

The Best Restaurants In Prospect Heights

A 2019 poll by onthemarket.com found that Britons would pay up to £50,000 more for homes on streets with regally titled names, such as Royal, Palace, King or Queen. Similarly, a study by London estate agents Wetherell found that the most sought-after addresses can add up to 40% to the price of a home. In general, he added, a house that has a name might be expected to command a higher price tag than one with a number. But some of the findings suggest that house names also play a role in stimulating the imagination, painting a picture in the minds of buyers that might make a house appear particularly appealing. Many of the names on the list are linked to specific types of historic property, which tend to command high prices due to their age and size. Chick Chick on the UWS serves an entire menu dedicated to Korean fried chicken, and you should (in turn) dedicate yourself to their entire menu.

The tools and the space and the singular place will allow the restaurant to consistently supply what it’s known for and continue to grow. Overnight success is like a Broadway musical come to life. Somebody has such a great idea or invention or TikTok that the world can’t help but stand and applaud. It’s a lot of fun in one act, and it almost always misses the big picture.

Ferrante attributes some of its early success to the dearth of exciting food experiences to be had during the early days of COVID. She says, “I was one of those people—like, I wasn’t like them [she’s a chef]—but I had an infant. When I ordered it, it was like, ‘this is the best thing I’ve eaten in a really, really long time.’ It was exciting.” Huang still boggles over Pecking House’s rocket rise. “I think it would take some distance to gain a perspective to see what was really going on. But, as you know, I never was in lockdown—I never once stopped working.” Huang suspects that the built-in exclusivity of the waitlist helped. “We were delivering a good meal with this fun story, and it felt like such a feat to have gotten a delivery at all.

What started as a delivery operation with weeks-long waiting lists now has a permanent home in Prospect Heights. Pecking House’s new counter-service location looks a bit like a small cafeteria at a trendy tech company, but it’s a perfectly fine place to consume large amounts of poultry. Your priority should be the chili fried chicken with thick, crunchy skin covered in a firecracker dry rub, which you can get in a huge sandwich or as a meal with sides.

Mexican Riviera Cruises 7-Day Mexico Cruises

mexico cruise deals

The ports on Mexico's eastern coast are often lumped together with other Central American ports or island destinations on Western Caribbean cruises. Do a bit of digging, and you can find three- to five-night cruises from Galveston, Texas; New Orleans; and Mobile, Alabama, that visit only Mexican ports, including Cozumel, Costa Maya and Progreso. The peak cruise season on Mexico’s Caribbean coast is from December to April, when the days are warm and sunny, with little rain other than the occasional short, sharp evening shower. You can also cruise to Mexico’s Caribbean coast in the shoulder season, from July to November; there may be a little more rain, but hurricanes are rare here. Your safety is our priority and ships can be moved if a hurricane is forecast. Sail to the destination of your dreams from the departure port that works best for you.

One of the most impressive aspects of the terminal is the streamlined check-in process. There’s a palpable sense of efficiency as staff members assist passengers quickly and courteously. I watch as luggage is whisked away with precision, destined to reappear seamlessly in the corresponding cabins aboard the ship. From the moment I set foot in the terminal, there’s an undeniable vibe of excitement. The terminal bustles with fellow travelers each eager to embark on their own unique voyages. Port Canaveral’s strategic location offers easy access to some of the world’s most beautiful beaches and exotic destinations.

These include Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, and Royal Caribbean International. Covered walkways transport cruisers along ramps between the terminal building and the ship. When debarking, there is a huge luggage hall with stainless steel tables, increasing the required space for thousands of bags. The waiting area has 1,800 seats and monitors to keep cruisers updated with information about the boarding process. A separate VIP area has comfy sofa seating for a further 250 guests. The terminal has 160 security cameras, energy-efficient lighting, and many more features.

Port Canaveral Parking

There are also stairs up and sloped walkways if you choose to walk instead of taking the elevator. One thing to note is that you pay as you enter the garage the day your cruise departs. This way the lines to exit at the end of the cruise are shorter since there is no payment processing, getting everyone home more quickly. After getting off the ship, you’ll head down the stairs, elevator, or sloped walkway to the luggage pick-up area. One smart detail of the terminal is the introduction of large stainless steel tables, greatly increasing the amount of luggage that can fit in the terminal. During our tour we were told that CT3 can hold up to 10,000 pieces of baggage.

However, while the Carnival Glory may be departing, Carnival Cruise Line has exciting plans in store for New Orleans. Starting in the spring of 2024, the Carnival Liberty will be taking over as the cruise lines flagship vessel based in the city. This transition ensures that passengers will still have the opportunity to embark on incredible adventures from the vibrant port of New Orleans. More practically, cruise lines offer direct airport to cruise terminal shuttles for those who pre-book the service.

Whether you are embarking on a cruise or just paying the port a visit, here is everything you need to know about navigating the Port Canaveral cruise terminals. When Was Carnival Liberty Last Renovated?

In the case of the Carnival Liberty, it’s most recent refurbishment took place in December 2016, prior to it’s 2021 dry dock. Port Canaveral has seven cruise terminals, each with its own unique address on either the North Side or South Side of the shipping channel. Review your boarding documents to confirm which specific terminal you should arrive at. Continue down this road and you will head straight until you are almost past all the cruise terminals. Eventually you will see a large blue sign listing all the cruise lines with an arrow that tells you to veer to the right.

Parking is $17.00 per day (rates are subject to change by the Port Authority). Parking is on your right so you will want to be in the rightmost lane, exiting just before you reach the parking garage and surface lot. Starting out, it helps to have an overview of the port before you get there. The port is located about 45 minutes due east of Orlando, on Cape Canaveral. There is only one road from Orlando to Cape Canaveral — Florida 528 (a toll road also know as the “Beachline”).

Above all, the terminal is designed to ensure that the transition from land to sea is as seamless as possible. Carnival’s innovative approach means I can dodge the biggest hassle of travel—long waits. With their online check-in process, most of my boarding formalities are taken care of before I even arrive.

Terminal 10 (1994-built) is used by NCL (Norwegian Cruise Line). In April 2023 was proposed the construction of a new cruise terminal on the Port's southern side. For season 2019, the cruise port reported a record berth booking with estimated 4,7+ million passengers. Following President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration, in late-January 2017 were officially issued reports about cruise passengers being detained by US Customs and Border Protection. All detainees had to provide background info about them, their families and also their past life in their native countries. Trump's executive order was signed on January 27th and includes a 90-day ban on travel to the USA by citizens of Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia, Yemen.

The ship is also unique with the lack of any Oceanview cabins (outside staterooms with Picture Window or Porthole Window). NCL Epic offers a variety of cabins ranging from the small Studio cabins (100 square feet) for solo travelers to the Deluxe Owners Suite at 852 square feet, in The Haven. Haven suites allow use of the exclusive Haven area, but may not always be physically located within this enclave. The Spa Staterooms on the Epic come in three varieties including the Haven Spa Suite, Spa Balcony Suite, and Spa Balcony.

With room for up to three they include two lower beds that convert into a queen-size bed, a sitting area and additional bedding to accommodate one more. These staterooms also feature curved walls, a unique bathroom treatment where every area is separate, including the shower and a modern vanity sink. These Balcony Staterooms are mid-ship, so you'll have easy access to all the delicious dining.

norwegian epic cruise line

The layout is unusual by cruise ship standards with a split bathroom (the toilet is separate from the shower) and where the sink is in the room. With only a curtain divider, people often feel that privacy is lacking. The design is very “European” by nature, which is why it’s not well received by the customer base in America. While the design of the bathroom is polarizing when it comes to opinions, the overall room design is quite good, albeit funky with rounded elements throughout. The rooms are still in style, even 10+ years after the launch of NCL Epic.

Passes can be purchased for the entire cruise or just by the day, although the area is capacity controlled. The ship was the first “Mega” ship for Norwegian Cruise Line and features the first generation of wild and crazy activities that have now become the norm on large ships. This includes the aqua park with huge water slides (three of them!) and a 200-foot-long tube ride into a funnel/bowl. A great spot on the Epic is the adults-only Spice H2O at the rear of the ship. With a small pool and stadium seating, it’s a nice place to get away from everyone and relax.

La Cucina serves up the freshest pasta and Italian specialties, such as Veal Scaloppini with Marsala sauce. You'll want to save plenty of room for dessert here as the homemade tiramisu is a must try! If you've ever wanted to try a Brazilian barbecue, bring your appetite to Moderno Churrascaria. Try not to let yourself get full starting off with the 43-item salad bar. You'll need plenty of stomach space for the 12 slow-roasted meats coming around that will be carved tableside. If you are someone who is planning on sailing onboard Norwegian Epic, I highly recommend stopping by the Skyy Vodka Ice Bar during your sailing at least once if not multiple times!

At night the bar changes to more of a venue for music and sometimes movies on a big screen. Just like Bliss, the staff sometimes doesn’t enforce the age restriction, a disappointment. The bar is a great place to sit outside and enjoy the good weather and have any number of daily frozen specials. That said, the EPIC is probably my least favorite cruise ship. Primarily because the ship has been in locations around the world at the same time I have and always seems to be going somewhere I want or need to be.

Based on a pandemic cruise early in 2022, the employee morale just wasn’t what I’ve experienced on other cruises, but with staff shortages and a challenging work environment, it’s not at all surprising. Admittedly, this is a strange concept and I can’t quite figure out the reason behind it but it’s fun to try it once, just to say you did. The cost is about $20 per person which includes two branded drinks (Now it’s Skyy, it was Svedka).

This spot is the world's greatest dueling piano bar, playing all your favorites from the 70s, modern rock hits, and even some hip-hop classics. When it comes to specialty dining, you'll find your favorite Norwegian restaurants on Norwegian Epic. If you are celebrating a special occasion, consider a reservation at Le Bistro, renowned for its French cuisine and elegant interior. Cagney's Steakhouse features the best cuts of Certified Angus Beef. Don't miss out on other repeat guest favorites such as the Parmesan dusted truffle fries or the made-from-scratch jumbo lump crab cakes. The three alcoholic drinks are called Sweet Northern, Ice Cold, and Hazelnut Delight.
